There's something special about the ambiance and feeling of a bookstore café that you can really only find inside. The way the bookshelves muffle the sounds around you, creating a quiet hush that is almost like a temple, while the scent of dark espresso and sweet cake wafts through the air. There is nothing else quite like that feeling.

Foam & Fiction is an RPG journaling exercise meant to help  you create a small snippet in the day of one of your characters: A trip to their favorite bookstore café. All you need is a deck of cards, and a way to record their experience.

Looking for physical copies? You can find those RIGHT HERE

We have also created a few Spotify playlists for this game:
My Café: A curated playlist featuring songs I would play if I owned my own café/bookstore.
Acoustic Café: A nice selection of acoustic tunes and instrumental covers.
Summer Bop Café: Warm, upbeat music to put you in a bright, bubbly mood.

There are three versions available for download: A full-color digital version; a black and white printable version (with a less color-intensive cover page); and, a text-only version.

Welcome to Foam & Fiction, friend. Tell us a story.

Thank you for making this game! Something about it really got my creative juices flowing, because I managed to write 600 words last night when I can usually only manage 50 and then I even drew something to go with it!

Ahh, thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the game, and that it helped unlock a story (and art!!) for you. 💕 If you share your work anywhere, I'd love to see it!
